Marcus is a former professional footballer who was diagnosed with MND in 2022 following 18 months of testing.
Since his diagnosis, Marcus has worked tirelessly to raise awareness and funds through The Darby Rimmer MND Foundation. His own experience has given him a clear understanding of how difficult it can be to find relatable answers and appropriate support after an MND diagnosis.
Marcus believes there is real value in speaking with someone from within the MND community who understands the experience first-hand. Away from his charity work, he enjoys watching sport, travelling and spending time with family and friends.
