Ask John Scott a question

John is a retired police officer who enjoys horse racing, football and keeping fit. Positive, resilient and practical, he is someone who looks for solutions and is not easily deterred by obstacles or delays.

John’s connection to MND began when a close friend was diagnosed in 2017. Wanting to offer meaningful support, John became closely involved in helping his friend navigate the services, systems and bureaucracy surrounding MND.

Through six years of volunteering with the MND Association, John gained considerable experience supporting people affected by MND and advocating on their behalf. He understands how important it is for people to receive clear, practical help without unnecessary delay.

“People with MND do not have the gift of time. They need action, not words.”
